I have few passions, that I tend to blab to anyone who will ask about them! My biggest passion right now is Disney, especially the Disney College Program. For those who are new, it's an internship where you get the opportunity to work in one of the Disney parks and take classes from the company while living in their housing. It's an amazing experience that Disney themselves cannot do justice in words. It's truly life-changing!
Since the applications for the Spring 2016 semester dropped early last week, I have been talking to everyone who asks about it. (Seriously, if you're considering it right now, GO APPLY. NOW.) Even if you think, "Oh I'm still in school, I can't afford a semester off!" Yes. You can, you really can. School can wait a semester. Disney is not a company you can work for forever. They don't pay a ton, so it's not a career you can do normally.
However, it can be a stepping-stone to other roles in the company. I know DCP alumni who have applied for Professional Internships (PIs) after their programs and gone deeper into specific roles. Disney really does have something for everyone, and the DCP is a great way to get your foot in the door.
I've always loved Disney, but doing the Disney College Program grew my passions for Disney and the company as a whole. It's a huge part of my life, and of course a huge part of my blog.
